I watched this since many himejoshis enjoyed it and I always saw fanart of the two characters from the show. I actually did not end up shipping them since I don't find there to be enough material for it but regardless I enjoyed the anime.

It's about Bocchi, a very shy girl who's a great guitarist. She ends up in a band with some other girls from their high school. The anime has some great comedy and Bocchi is relatable to me as someone who has social anxiety.

I liked that it was about female friendship surrounding a common passion (like a less GL version of Hoshikuzu Telepath).

It's a great feel good anime!

They also just released two recap films of the series. I hope it gets a 2nd season since it seems to be very popular!

As I mentioned previosly, this anime would normally be too cute and slice-of-life to my taste but still I found myself watching every episode. It's such a comfort series.

Lately I've become more interested in female-centric stories and they make me feel so comfortable like I'm healing my inner little girl. The character design of the main pair is super cute. This anime also had focus on female friendship. The protagonist is super shy and throughout the story she has to overcome her shyness. It's an anime about belonging and pursuing dreams. I love how it shows failure and how it isn't the end of everything and you have to pursue your dreams regardless.

The GL side of this story was very cute but there was no kiss and it was more like cute feelings between two girls but there definetely was romance although it isn't the center of the story.

13 episodes + bonus movie on Crunchyroll

I was looking for something chill to watch so I decided to give Sasaki and Miyano a try. It's been called the Heartstopper of BL so I knew I wasn't exactly the target audience for it. It's a very slice-of-life friends to lovers teenage romance which I'm usually not a fan of but I was looking for something wholesome to watch. I have to admit it's a little bit too cute to my taste but I like the slowburn how their romance unfolds during the story. I love both Sasaki and Miyano as characters. Sasaki especially is a bit like Hua Cheng as a cool seme (although it's not confirmed who's the uke and seme as the anime discusses these tropes...but according to the character design it's obvious BUT that's only my interpretation).

As I wrote on my tumblr: It's refreshing to read a wholesome romance like Tgcf and Sasaki and Miyano. The seme is not a typical rapey obsessive mind controller. But that doesn't mean they don't deal with similar feelings: both Sasaki and Hua Cheng constantly hold themselves back because they cherish their loved ones and want to act consentually. They do get lustful, jealous, and possessive but choose not to lash out that energy towards their loved ones. I think both are stories with wholesome pure love, and although i tend to enjoy darker stories this type of consensual and loving dynamic is very important for me as well. I usually engage with darker content because it seems more realistic for me and the type with pure love actually make me sadder because they are more unrealistic. It's not easy to find or become as devoted lover as Sasaki or Hua Cheng.

Overall it was a cute show!

Heaven Official's Blessing S2 E4

Xie Lian and the Windmaster go deeper into the ghost city. Just like last episode, Xie Lian and Hua Cheng have so much chemistry! Even though the ending was censored and Xie Lian didn't fall into Hua Cheng's lap they still managed to keep tension between them! To be honest I completely forgot that he fell on Hua Cheng's lap and even though I've been rereading the books I completely missed it and had to check out the scene. I'm honestly not so worried over censorship because just like in the Untamed the creators of Tgcf know how to create a great bromance that sometimes has more tension than a regular romance. Every scene they interact is so meaningful! I wish i could someday write about a relationship as loving as theirs <3

I'm in Love With The Villainess S1 E6

Rae turns out to be the ghost that's been scaring the girls during night. We got a cute sleepover and some crossdressing in future episodes! Rae's love towards Claire is still very much one-sided but I think that Claire is warming up to Rae slowly. We also got some backround to Claire's character and the tragedy of her mom dying. This anime has been so well constructed it's a very quick watch. Every episode shows a new setting and drama and keeps the viewer hooked.

Stardust Telepath S1 E5

The power of female friendship, aliens and rockets! For some reason I have a theory that this show will have a dark turn and show how trauma has influenced the notions of such distorted view of reality... but I don't think this show is going to be like that. It's just a cute show!
