Fans accusing of each other of bigotry over what they like to read/watch/create sucks to see, no matter how often it happens. People who like GL exclusively doesn't make them prejudiced against men or trans people, and the disparity in popularity for GL vs. BL is not something that can be fixed by shaming people who like BL.
Like you said, change is only really going to come if publishers and distributors pick up GL and female-centric media. I could never have guessed that BL would have a big market either, but now I see dedicated displays for it in the big chain bookstores and anime shops where I live. I hope that Thailand putting out GL media helps to propel a wave of interest in it for wider audiences, too!
