Global Girl Groups
Jul. 31st, 2024 05:20 pmLast Friday there were two new singles from new global girl groups who both sing in English but have been training under Kpop companies. I've been obsessed with these bands lately lately:
1. Something Ain't Right by XG
I'm competely obsessed with their out of this world looks (they literally play aliens in the MV) that look unique and fresh. XG has previously made rap and R&B songs but this time they tried a new genre: house music. I love it! They actually might be my favorite group at the moment. The girls are insanely talented and I recommend every song of theirs.
2. Touch by KATSEYE
I was following the Dream Academy competition when it was going on and voting every time possible and they ended up forming this 6-member global girl group. Two of my faves Lara and Manon made it into the group. They are airing a documentary on the process and it's coming up on August 21 on Netflix. "Touch" is their second single after "Debut" and it's a very addicting song! I was happy to see it going viral on tiktok. They girls deserve it! Unfortunately there's also been a lot of stupid hate campaigns and some peple are saying they won't be popular because the koreaboos won't care about them but i'm not so worried about it. Talent shines through and every KATSEYE member has it! I watched their Kcon performances and they have insane stage presence and syncronization. I'm happy to follow this group from the very beginning!
