Album review: Brat by Charli XCX

Charli XCX's is the queen of hot girl/it girl/party girl music.
I love her music and I actually prefer this album over her last album that was more 80's inspired breakup album but Brat is definetely leaning fully into her brand and audience. In her mv 360 she featured a bunch of it girls (models and actors) which I personally do not care about but it's a very good branding choice. She has become more mainstream and her music isn't as hyperpop as it used to be but i still enjoyed this album. It's a mood booster and a lifestyle. Only thing I didn't like was the lyrics to Mean Girls because it described very insufferable women who are considered cool/hot but I guess it's part of her audience and fits into the hot girl concept. The songs are very catchy and the whole album has been on repeat. So: I like the songs although I'm not really the target audience (online hot girl persona).

Perfect pre-party album before going to the gay club in the summer.
